App Development

Virtual app development camp - your first step towards developing your own app!

About the camp

Based on a six-step design thinking process, students will learn all of the important elements that are essential to creating a viable product, whether to be used as a unique presentation tool or an app for global collaboration. By the completion of this camp, students will be able to build a functional multi screen mobile app using paper prototyping and visual design programming, while following user design interface principles and various tools and functions.

To keep up in a world where everything seems like yesterday's news, having a fundamental understanding of technology is now as important as reading, writing and arithmetic. Therefore, this camp aims to promote coding concepts, languages, interactions and the development of apps using the MAD-learn web-based platform and basic HTML coding.

Our goal is to spark an interest in computer science and improve digital literacy in our community. We do this by teaching students the basics of programming to develop applications (apps) for iOS or Android platforms.

*Technical Requirements: Computer (i.e. desktop, laptop or Chromebook) and internet access.
