Virtual Space Themed STEM Camp

About the camp

Calling all grade 6-8 students interested in SPACE! Join ihub’s Virtual Space STEM Camp this summer with lessons exploring space collisions, space eruptions, space coding, space engineering, the lifecycle of stars.. and more! With support from the ihub Team & Planetary Scientist, Dr. Bhairavi Shankar of Indus Space, this week-long summer camp will be an opportunity to learn “All About Space” and connect with like-minded space fans.. online!

This virtual opportunity for grades 6 to 8 students will engage in space themed STEM lessons focussing on:

  • Space Collisions - learn about this common process in our solar system, and run demos with common household supplies.
  • Space Eruptions - interested in volcanism? Volcanoes exist across our solar system. We will discuss processes and look at examples through activities
  • Space Coding - practice scripts and design codes in a space setting
  • Space Engineering - design satellites, learn about telescopes and other designs used in space exploration
  • Lifecycle of Stars - learn about the types of stars

    $75/student per week

    Prerequisites

    None! Our camps are designed for everyone passionate about space!

    Technology Requirements

    Computer (i.e. desktop, laptop or Chromebook) and internet access.
